Without Natural Affection

Read this article first to get background to the story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18921040/

There has already been discussion that she was depressed & possibly suffering from postpartum depression. Some may suggest that she heard voices telling her to do this & truly believed that it was the best decision for her children. People will say she was crazy & insane. And why not?! You would have to think a woman is crazy to kill her own children. But it's not really just that. We are all conceived with a sin nature. We are born with wicked & evil hearts. So we should see that any human is capable committed this sin.

Since she already committed suicide there won't be a trial like there was for Andrea Yates. Yates was first found guilty but after a re-trial was found not guilty by reason of insanity. So, what, she didn't do it? If I was to buy into someone actually being insane & hearing voices, why should they get away with a crime? They still took innocent life. And who's to say that any of these women aren't just really good actors? They are still all responsible for what they did.

Obviously this woman needed help. She may have felt overwhelmed being a single mother with 4 small children & just didn't want to have to handle it anymore. She felt hopeless. What she need more that medication or therapy was Christ. Without Him there is no hope.
