How your baby's growing:
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. And she's continuing to put on baby fat. She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.
I’m finding myself loving this little girl more & more every day. And I haven’t even met her yet!
We’ve hit another milestone. We’re now in double digits. I’m talking about days until my due date. As of today we have 96 days till the due date. And that’s not to say that she won’t come sooner. At this point I’m ok with that so long she’s healthy & physically ready to arrive. We’re just so ready to meet her!
Other exciting news is that Jeremy finally got to feel her move! I’m not sure what she’s trying to do but most every time she starts kicking if either of us put our hands on my belly she stops. Maybe it’s some kind of game she’s playing with us. Well, Saturday night I was laying on my back in bed & Jeremy was watching some tv to wind down. I had my hand on my stomach for a while & was feeling her rolling around & giving a few jabs. So I grabbed Jeremy’s hand & just told him to leave it there. He wasn’t going anywhere anyway. Of course, she stopped at first. But after a couple minutes she started up again. It wasn’t the hard kick if always imagined but he definitely felt her moving. I was just so happy for him to finally get that connection.
